What’s the best flooring for a kitchen or bathroom?
For most kitchens and bathrooms we recommend waterproof flooring or natural stone, which handle spills and moisture without worry. Hardwood can work in a kitchen with the right finish and a little care. We’ll help you weigh the options at your consultation.
Is hardwood or waterproof flooring better with dogs?
Waterproof flooring is the most forgiving: it resists scratches and accidents. If you love hardwood, a harder species with a wire-brushed texture and a matte finish hides everyday wear far better than a smooth, glossy floor.
Do you install carpet and runners on stairs?
Yes. We install stair carpet and custom runners, measured and finished to fit your staircase.
Do you install commercial projects after hours or on weekends?
Yes. We schedule commercial installs after hours and on weekends so your business can stay open.
Do you work with designers, architects, contractors and realtors?
Yes. We work alongside interior designers, architects, builders, contractors and realtors getting a home ready to list, to their specs and their schedule. Trade partners also get trade pricing through Abode Warehouse, referral fees and use of our showroom. See the trade program.
What’s the difference between Abode Lafayette and Abode Warehouse?
Abode Lafayette is our showroom and installation service: we help you choose, then our own team installs it. Abode Warehouse is our materials supply, for when you already know what you need. It’s open to everyone, orders can be delivered to your home or picked up at will call, and designers, contractors, builders and real estate agents get trade pricing. You’ll find it at abodewarehouse.com.
What flooring brands do you carry?
We carry Panaget, Boen, Bergamo, Riva, California Classics, Bravada, Reward, Anderson Tuftex and Compass Materials, among others. Come see them in our Lafayette showroom, and if you’re looking for a brand we don’t have on the floor, we’ll help you track it down.
